The Gear Keeper Low Tension Sidearm Tether is designed to help prevent the loss of a firearm by criminal action or unforseen occurances like falls.
The Sidearm is tethered to the owners belt by means of a retractable stainless steel cable with a 27kg breaking strain. Simply attach the cables loop to the lanyard ring on the pistol and then Holster as normal.
The Retraction mechanism is attached to the owners belt. A detachable clip allows for easy seperation without having to remove either end from the pistol or belt. When the firearm is needed, simply draw as normal.
The tether does not interfere with the normal operation of the firearm and the tension is a minimal 85 grams of retraction force.
The length of the tether cable is 900mm and allows for full extension of the arms. The Stainless steel cable is coated with plastic to prevent damage to the firearm, the user or other gear being used by the owner.
This piece of equipment is highly recommended for Police officers or security personell who carry sidearms that are not concealed. NB! It is important to note that the firearm to be used with this product requires a sturdy Lanyard Ring.
