INSTALLATION
Installing the BC TACTICAL’s J-SS G2 Muzzle Brake on your rifle involves a few straightforward steps. Here’s a concise guide:
We do recommend that your muzzle device is installed by a qualified gunsmith to assure alignment and to achieve optimal accuracy.

1. Prepare the Rifle:
• Ensure your rifle is unloaded and the chamber is clear.
• Secure the rifle in a stable vise using a vise block to avoid damaging it.

2. Remove the Old Muzzle Device:
• If your rifle has a muzzle device (like a flash hider or brake), remove it using the appropriate spanner (wrench).
• Clean the threads on the barrel with a brush and solvent/Acetone to remove any carbon build-up or debris.

3. Align/Time the Muzzle Brake:
• Clean the threads inside your J-SS G2 Muzzle Brake with a brush and solvent/Acetone to remove any oil.
• Use the shims provided to achieve proper alignment. The thickness of the shims varies to assure you time your brake correctly.
• The J-SS G2 Muzzle Brake uses the three top ports as an index mark or timing feature. Align it properly so all the ports are positioned correctly for optimal performance.
• Once you have aligned/timed your brake correctly remove it and leave the shims on the shoulder of the muzzle.

4. Install the J-SS G2 Muzzle Brake:
• Apply a small amount of non-permanent thread locker (e.g., blue Loctite) to the barrel threads. This helps secure the muzzle brake and prevents it from loosening during use.
• Thread the J-SS G2 Muzzle Brake onto the barrel by hand, ensuring it’s aligned correctly.
• Use a 21 mm spanner (wrench) with the appropriate wrench flats on the rear of the muzzle brake to tighten it. Make sure its secure.

5. Verify Installation:

• Double-check the tightness and alignment of the muzzle brake.
• Reassemble your rifle and ensure everything is functioning correctly.

6. Final Check:
• Take your rifle to a safe shooting area and test fire to ensure the muzzle brake is securely installed and functioning as intended.
• For added measure you can check the alignment of your muzzle brake with an alignment rod. On AK’s it is always recommended, especially when mounting any of our JUDGE GEN2 Series suppressors, to assure concentricity and proper alignment as AK’s are notorious for having non-concentric factory threads.
